PANTANAL: Araras Lodge 02 nights (AL 2.1)
The Pantanal (Portuguese for Floodplain / Swamp), is the world’s largest continuous floodplain (actually an alluvial plain), situated in the center of South America, shared by Brazil, Bolívia and Paraguay and covering approximately 168,000 km2 / 60,000 mi². This is a wilderness sanctuary for the amazing number of birds, reptiles and other animals and a delight to wildlife lovers and photographers. The unpaved Transpantaneira Park Road was built on a higher level allowing all year access to vehicles. Its 147 km / 90 mi. links Poconé to Porto Jofre, crossing 126 narrow and small wooden bridges crossing rivers, creeks and the floodplain, taking one deep into the Pantanal ecosystem. Araras Pantanal Eco Lodge is located at km 32 / 19.88 mi of Transpantaneira Park Road.
