Day 1 Cuiabá -> Pantanal Lowlands

Arrival at Cuiabá/ Várzea Grande airport or pick up at hotel and transfer to Pantanal lowlands.  While crossing the area, it is possible to spot and appreciate the local flora & fauna. Check in at lodge.

Reconnaissance tour of its surrounding: The egret outlook, the caimans creek and many others spots that have given international fame to the Araras Eco Lodge. After dinner, night walk to observe south hemisphere sky, hear and fell the night sounds and smells. Overnight at Araras Eco Lodge.

Day 2 Pantanal Lowlands

Exploring the surroundings of the Bugio reserve on a 3h00 horseback riding trough the immense biodiversity of the Pantanal plain. Lunch at lodge. Afternoon hike to the 25m “Howler Monkey Tower” for a overview of the surrounding forest, marshes and fields Dinner, and overnight at Araras Eco Lodge.

Day 3 Pantanal Lowlands

Early breakfast. Settle your horse and proceed through 9 Km to the margins of Clarinho river. Cowboy lunch. Deserved “siesta” in hammock, followed by exploration of the river by canoe. Return to Sentinela Camp, settle your horse and restart the ride for another 3km until the “Bafo da Onça” Camp. Prepare for overnight in this rustic Camp, outside in untamed nature. Dinner at camp fire. Overnight in hammocks with mosquito netting. 

Day 4 Pantanal Lowlands

Early morning breakfast. Settle your horse and further exploration of the fields and bays of this area, until Passo da Ema Farm base. Take your time for a well deserved shower and lunch. In the afternoon further exploration. Dinner at Araras lodge and overnight.

Day 5 Pantanal Lowlands

Further exploration, visiting a nearby 10,000 ha large cattle ranch. Lunch at the farmer’s home. Return late afternoon enjoying sun setting on our way to the Lodge.

Dinner. Night drive for nocturnal wild life observation.

Day 6 Pantanal -> Cuiabá 

Departure after breakfast to Cuiabá airport.
